What is an Percutaneous Discectomy?

A percutaneous discectomy is an image guided, indirectly visualized procedure that removes or shrinks the jelly-like bulging nucleus pulposus that is painfully impinging on the neural elements. Percutaneous discectomy is a band-aid procedure that can safely be performed in the cervical,thoracic, or lumbar spine.
