Adams received her Bachelor of Science in community health from Texas A&M University. She graduated from the physician assistant program at Nova Southeastern University and attended the postgraduate physician assistant residency program in neurosurgery at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.
Adams is licensed with the Florida Department of Health, registered with the New York Medical Board, and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and is a national professional health education honorary with Eta Sigma Gamma.
